Our Beliefs

The God-headWe believe in one God that is expressed in three persons. One substance, yet three distinct personages: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All eternal, all equal, all God, all one.

Jesus Christ – We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of the living God, the only way to the Father, through whose blood is the only means of forgiveness and reconciliation. Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered and died on a cross, was buried for three days, and on the third was resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit. Afterwords He remained with His disciples for 40 days giving infallible proofs of His resurrection, and after which ascended to the right hand of the Father, and was given the name above every name.

The Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers making them one spirit with God. He teaches, guides, comforts, reminds, convicts, illuminates, and empowers the church with supernatural gifts, as in prophecy, healing, tongues and all other spiritual gifts and manifestations mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12, 14, and the rest of the Bible. These gifts are given to serve the body of Christ and those who are lost. The Holy Spirit is not a force, a dove, or an influence, He is God, a distinct Person of the Trinity.

The Bible – We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

Regeneration and Justification – We believe all people must be born again in order to see the kingdom. Regeneration is a transformation of the inner man. The Holy Spirit deals a death blow to the old man bound to sin and a new creation is then resurrected in its place. Intertwined into this glorious new creation is the righteousness of God which is imputed to us. We are declared righteous before Him and washed whiter than snow. Regeneration and Justification are bound together, and occur simultaneously when a whosoever places their faith in Christ and makes a decision to turn from their sins in surrender to Christ’s Lordship.

Sanctification – We believe that those whom the Lord Justifies He also sanctifies. A true believer will submit him/her self to the daily denial of sinful desires, and by the power of the Holy Spirit will be increasingly conformed to the glorious image of Christ. Regeneration transforms the spirit-man, but sanctification is the saving and transformation of the soul. We believe salvation is to touch every part of man, and that it is worked out into every area of our lives. We believe that without holiness no man will see God. (see Hebrews 12:14) Righteousness before God is not a positional reality that remains scribbled in the books of heaven somewhere. It is both a declared righteousness and an infused righteousness. One is a legal finding, “not guilty,” the other is a transformation of the core of our being, a reprogramming of the fabric of our nature. Not just righteous on paper but righteous in substance. We are infused with God’s holy nature and desires. This radical new birth then enables us to walk out a pure and righteous life that we could otherwise never attain to. Simply put, we live holy because He made us holy, inside and out.

Heaven and Hell – Those who continue in their salvation and endure till the end will inherit everlasting life in the presence of God, but those who continue in sin and unbelief in the atoning work of Christ will be cast into the lake of fire to suffer everlasting torment. Hell is not a metaphor, it is the quarantine for all those who cling to the insidious disease of sin.
